A contractor website that answers the phone
Most websites built for contractors are a photo of a truck, a list of services, and a contact form nobody checks. It’s a business card that costs $200 a month. This is a different thing: a site that catches the calls you miss and turns them into booked work while you’re still on the job.

Hi, this is Mike at Alvarez Roofing. Sorry I missed your call, I'm up on a roof right now. What do you need done?
2:14:15 PM✓ Delivered in 12 secondsHi, I've got a leak over my garage after the rain last night. How soon can someone come look at it?
2:14:52 PMI can get out there. Is the address in Glendora? Pick a time that works and it goes straight on my calendar.
2:15:06 PMYes, Glendora. Just booked Thursday 9am.
2:15:44 PMJob booked: Thursday 9:00 AM. Sent to Mike's phone.
Example thread. This is the system that runs on your site.
What’s included
The site itself
- Custom built, not a template
- Loads fast on a phone with two bars
- Your work, your service area, your license number
- Written in English and Spanish
The lead system underneath
- Missed call gets a text back in under 60 seconds, automatically
- Conversation continues by text and the details land on your phone
- Booking calendar so customers pick a time instead of calling back
- Every lead in one place instead of scattered across voicemail and texts
Getting found is a different job than looking good.
Somebody types “roofer near me” at nine at night with water coming through the ceiling. Whether your name is on that screen has almost nothing to do with how the site looks. It comes down to whether Google can tell what you do, where you do it, and that other people were happy with the work.
So here’s what I actually build:
- A page for every service you sell, because people search “panel upgrade,” not “our services”
- A page for every city you work in, so you show up in the town and not just at your address
- Your Google Business Profile set up properly: categories, service area, hours, photos, and the services list almost everybody leaves blank
- Review requests that go out automatically after you close a job
- Your license number, trades, and cities written into the code Google reads, not only the part people see
- Page titles and descriptions written one at a time, not generated in bulk
- Fast on a phone with two bars, because Google measures that and most contractor sites fail it
- All of it a second time in Spanish, which almost nobody in your area is competing for
And here’s what I won’t tell you
I can’t promise you the top spot, and anybody who does is either guessing or counting on you not to check. That block of results with the map on it gets ranked mostly on how close you are to whoever is searching, how many reviews you have, and how complete your Google profile is. Two of those three I can work on. The third one is geography.
What I can tell you is that every one of those signals will point at you instead of being left blank, which is where most of your competition is sitting right now.
How it works
- 01
A 15-minute call
How your calls come in now, how many you miss, and what one job is worth to you. Then the part I actually want to hear: what wears you out the most. Writing quotes at ten at night. Calling somebody back and finding out they already hired the other guy. The phone going off while your hands are full. Tell me the worst of it and I’ll tell you straight whether I can fix it.
- 02
You send me your stuff
Photos, license number, service area, and the three things customers always ask you. About an hour of your time, total.
- 03
I build it
Two weeks. You see it before it goes live and you get changes.
- 04
It goes live and starts catching calls
I send you the response log so you can see it working, with timestamps.
Here’s what it costs. No quote form.
What I’d put you on
Smart Website + lead system
$1,500 build
then $299/month
The site plus the missed-call text back, the calendar, and the follow-ups running every month. First month included.
Website only
Smart Website, one time
$1,999
no monthly
The site itself, built and handed to you. Fast, bilingual, yours outright. Without the text-back system, because that part runs on software that costs money every month to keep running.
Spanish version
Included in the one-time tier. Add $500 on the monthly tier. A full second version of your site written properly in Spanish, plus the text-back system replying in whichever language the customer writes in.
Already have a site you like?
Missed Call Rescue: $500 setup, $299/month. I wire the text-back system into the phone number and site you already have. How it works →
Why bilingual matters here
Half the homeowners in this valley would rather text in Spanish, and almost none of your competitors give them a way to.
Most contractor sites around here are English only, and the ones that aren’t were run through a translator and read like it. A proper Spanish version is the cheapest advantage you can buy in this market.
Questions I get asked.
Can I try it before I pay you anything?
Yes. Call 626-380-8564, let it ring, and hang up without waiting for an answer. The text lands in under a minute, and you can text back and see how it handles a real question, in English or in Spanish. That is the same system I put on your number. By calling you agree to receive a text in reply; message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out.
How much does a website cost for a small contractor?
$1,500 to build plus $299/month for the lead system, or $1,999 one time for the website by itself with no monthly. Prices are on this page because you shouldn't have to fill out a form to find out what something costs.
How fast does the text back actually go out?
Under 60 seconds, usually under 20. The message fires the moment the call ends, day, night, or Sunday, and I'll send you the delivery log with timestamps so you can check me on it.
Do you build websites in Spanish?
Yes, and not with a translate plugin. I'm bilingual and I write both versions properly, which matters if half your customers would rather text in Spanish.
What if I already have a website?
Then you probably don't need a new one. I'll wire the missed-call text-back system into the phone number you already have for $500 setup and $299/month.
Do you redesign existing websites?
Sometimes. If what you have works and just needs the lead system, that's Missed Call Rescue for $500 and $299/month, and it's cheaper than a rebuild.
What if I don't have a logo or photos?
We'll work with what you have. Phone photos of your own finished jobs beat stock photography every time, and I can put a clean wordmark together if you don't have a logo.
Where is the site hosted?
On Vercel, under your own domain. It's fast, and it doesn't lock you into me.
Fifteen minutes. That’s the whole ask.
Tell me how your week actually goes. How the calls come in, how many you miss, and what part of it wears you out the most. I’ll tell you what it’s costing you and whether I can help. If I can’t, I’ll say so.
